Frequently asked questions
What is the NRD and how do I verify a financial advisor?
The National Registration Database — a public CSA registry. At info.securities-administrators.ca you enter a name or firm and see whether they're registered, in which provinces, in what category, and any disciplinary history. It's free.
What does an NRD number mean?
A unique identifier for a registered individual. For example, NRD #4575551 is Andrii Andriushchenko at Axcess Capital Advisors (EMD). If someone isn't in the database, they have no right to take your money for investments.
